Transmission 020 Timing Bung Cap Kit
Our OES VW 020 Timing Bung Kits come with a M36x1.0 green bung and a black service hole cap. Requires a 27mm hex socket or allen wrench to install and remove. Additionally, this will help keep debris (and fingers) out of your bell housing.
For example, don’t ever stick your finger inside this hole while the engine is running. Years ago, one of our friends fingers went in the hole while timing his 84 GTI. As a result, the flywheel cut the top 10mm off his finger off, bone and all. Ever since this happened to him, we’ve always advocate to people that they must have this on their transmission and not to put your finger inside.
