Genuine VW Mk1 Scirocco Windshield – Condition B+
For sale is a 1974 to 1981 used Mk1 Scirocco Windshield. Condition is B+ excellent. Almost looks brand new minus a few very minor pits (between 1mm-2mm) and very minor windshield wiper scuffs. We tried our hardest and could only find 3 pits total. All photos of the pits also show dust in the photo. When zooming in, it’s shows everything.

This windshield would be perfect for a restoration where you are wanting 100% original VW Parts. This glass is difficult to find aftermarket. Almost next to impossible Genuine VW in this condition. As Mk1 Sciroccos were only build between 6-1/2 years and production numbers were a little over 500,000 worldwide in the Karmann assembly plant in Osnabrück, Germany. Parts started becoming obsolete in the early 1990s. As a result, the parts became more and more difficult to find as the years went on. Close to zero Mk1 Scirocco Part Numbers that start with a “531” are available or being manufactured any more, to this day.

- Could only find 3-4 very minor pits. Less than 1mm
- Could be smaller ones present. However, we could not see them and/or could not take photos of them due to how small they are.
- Some Extremely light windshield wiper streaks
- Could be buffed out if you want it perfect.
- Hard to see unless you’re in the right lighting.

Insurance:
- Windshield will be fully insured which will be included in the freight shipping.
- If you are arranging shipping – you must provide proof of insurance before we allow the freight company to pick up.
- If we arrange shipping – we provide the BOL, tracking, insurance info, and any necessary paperwork after the package has been picked up.
Prepacking:
- Windshield is packed with foam around the corners, multiple edges, front & back. Then, it is shrink wrapped to protect in our warehouse for storage.
Storage
- Windshield stored in a upright position. For example, this avoids sagging or disfiguration of the glass.
- Windshield stored since 12.08.2023 in a heated building. Temperature fluxuations have not varied more than ±15ºf / 9ºc – between summer and winter, since date of storage. Typical median temperature of storage is approx. 65ºf / 18ºc.
