Submersible Fuel Pump Hose
In Tank Fuel Pump Hose replacement is necessary when replacing the internal fuel pump on your Scirocco. This is a specialized hose that is mean for being submerged in fuel – NORMAL FUEL LINE WILL NOT WORK. If you use regular fuel hose it will swell, crack, then start sucking air within a matter of weeks. This hose connects the fuel tank sending unit to the internal tank fuel pump. Made by VW’s OES manufacturer. Even if your line connector looks ‘ok’, they may still need replaced. So, you might as well do it while the pump is out. Also, replacing this will help symptoms such as hesitation, hard starts and starved fuel issue when cornering hard.
