Description
The West Coast Roccos Scirocco Partial Tray clip is one of those parts that often break. These allow the partial tray to pivot when opening the rear hatch. Our clips are made from Polycarbonate Carbon Fiber and will not break guaranteed. Not only that, we redesigned this clip to not come out. The OEM clips are secured with a push pin. Our are not. The body is threaded for a M5 screw. Then, we use a M5 set screw and a threaded nut to secure it on the bottom side. These fit all Mk1 & Mk2 Sciroccos.
We manufacture these in house with our 3d printing technology. They retain slightly stiffer flexibility and as the OEM part. Difference is, you can not break these. We tried.
Typically these clips have some janky fix to make them work. Get rid of that garbage and bring your Scirocco back to its original glory with a seriously upgraded part.
NOTE: When manufacturing these, we factor that most partial tray mount plug / pivot are old, worn and can shrink over time. We make these clips to fit tight and click in. So, if your partial tray mount plug / pivot is too tight, you may need to sand it down slightly. Adding a dot of dielectric grease will also help it move and will not harm the clip or your pivot.
Partial Trays
We are also working on all the other parts to rebuild your partial tray. Furthermore, we are working on the actual OE looking panels and kits for an exact replica for your Scirocco build or restoration. Even if you have all the parts, the trays are usually bent, warped, cracked or have speakers cut into the tray. Some people don’t like that and it is not the OEM look. Some people don’t mind, so we’ll have option for speakers as well. Stay tuned to our website for further developments on these partial trays and parts.
