020 Transmission Mount
& Engine Mount Pressing
Tool Prototype
We currently have in the works a 020 Transmission Mount Tool prototype. This is for pressing out transmission mounts with a press. This is made from polycarbonate carbon fiber. This material is extremely strong. It has a rating of between 10,000 & 12,000 psi at this thickness. As a result, this 12,000 psi rating should yield almost a 6 ton pressing force. Usually these mounts require around 2-3 tons of pressing force to extract these transmission mounts.

These transmission mount extraction tools will work in all Mk1 and Mk2 Sciroccos. It will also work in all A1 platform 020 transmission mounts. We are currently in the testing phase, but we should have thoroughly tested this in the upcoming weeks.

We also have a 4 cylinder engine (EA827) mount tool coming out of the printer later today that we will also test with as well. This will be for all Mk1 and Mk2 Scirocco 4 cylinder engine mounts. For example, JH, PL, KR and everything in the A1 4 cylinder engine platform.
