8v & 16v Oil Pan Bolt Kit
Our oil pan bolt kit for vehicles with windage trays. OEM style yellow chromate zinc coated for increased corrosion protection. Uses a slightly longer bolt. For MK1 , Mk2, 8v & 16v w/w windage trays / with OEM style oil pan baffles. Must be replaced after removed. Also use a tap to remove dirt, grim and any thread locker. Superseded to a serrated flange for better locking. Suggest using one small drop of blue loctite as well. Also, when installing a windage tray, put a thin coat of black RTV on either side of the tray gasket before installing.

Installation Advice:

Always replace oil pan bolts after removal to ensure proper clamping force.

Use a tap to clean dirt, grime, and old thread locker from the block’s mounting holes. If you do not you may have issues. For example, the old loctite may cause additional torque, making for a improper tightening and will cause leaking.

Apply a small drop of blue Loctite for extra security.

Apply a thin coat of black RTV on both sides of the windage tray gasket during installation.
