Description
VIN Decals – Door Jamb
Are you currently restoring your Mk1 or Mk2 Scirocco and find yourself needing to replace those weathered door jamb VIN decals? If so, you have come to the right place, as we offer the exact high-quality replacements your project requires.
To ensure long-lasting durability, we print our decals on premium 3M vinyl using specialized resin-based epoxy inks. Consequently, these decals will never fade or run; in fact, we guarantee they will remain color-fast for the entire life of your car.
Furthermore, we digitally replicate every WCR door jamb decal to match the original OEM font, graphics, and color specifications. Because of this meticulous attention to detail, you will not be able to tell the difference when comparing our brand-new product to your original factory decal.
In addition to our precise design process, we utilize an epoxy resin thermal printing process to make every line look crisp and high-resolution. By combining this technique with the highest quality 3M material on the market, we provide a product that stands far above standard stickers.
While you are here, we invite you to explore our other OEM decals specifically for the Mk1 & Mk2 [located here]. Should you have any questions, please feel free to email us; we will get back to you promptly with all the information you need to finish your restoration.

All decals with see-through VINs print on 3m Crystal Clear vinyl and allow the body color to be see-through. For Early Mk1 decals & Westmoreland Mk1s.
VIN Decals NOTES:
- Due to the custom nature of these decals, may take 4-6 weeks for delivery.
- VW made these decals in different countries, for multiple assembly plants. There maybe some slight variation between assembly plants and / or years. Not all decals are the same size (within a few mm) and some have slightly different wording. Some decals may say, Manufactured by ‘Volkswagenwerks AG’, ‘Volkswagenwerks AG Germany’, or ‘Volkswagen AG’. Some may even say West Germany. Unfortunately, we can not make every since variation of these. However, we have tried our best to represent all decals it the exact manner that represents your year and options.Â
PLEASE NOTE:
To improve the clarity and impact of your policy, I have rewritten the text in a direct, active voice. I also updated the date to reflect the current year as requested.
VIN Decals Ownership Proof Requirements
We DO NOT accept photos of chassis stamps as “Proof of Ownership” if the VIN contains the “ZZZ” placeholders (for example, “WVWZZZxxxxxxxxxxx” or “WV2ZZZxxxxxxxxxxx”). YOU MUST SUBMIT THE TITLE OR REGISTRATION.
Volkswagen stamps these “ZZZ” placeholders onto the chassis BEFORE sending the frame to a coachbuilder or secondary factory—such as Karmann, Westfalia-Werks, Beutler, or Rometsch. These stamps do not represent the final, unique VIN of your vehicle. The factory replaces these placeholders with final build specifications only when completing the car. Consequently, the dash plate VIN represents the true, finished product.
We accept the following documents:
-
An undoctored photo of the Vehicle Title.
-
An undoctored photo of the Current Registration.
-
An undoctored photo of the original VIN decal you are replacing.
-
An undoctored photo of the original VW Dash Plate VIN.
-
Your Current License Plate number and state (with paid, updated 2026 tabs). Note: We verify this via Carfax. If your car is not currently registered, it will not appear in the Carfax database; in this case, please use one of the other methods listed above.
